In 1983, ASV began development of its first product by its founders, Edgar Hetteen and Gary Lemke, both pioneers of the snowmobile industry. Hetteen founded both Polaris Insudtries and Aritc Cat. Lemke was owner of the largest Artic Cat dealership in North America, at the time. Since then, ASV has evolved into producing some of the most productive and versatile compact construction machines available worldwide.
